Meet Jon & Janet English

Jon English served in the United States Army from 1993 to 1996. When he came home, he brought with him something that can’t be learned in a classroom: a deep, personal understanding of what it means to protect the people you care about.

After leaving the military, Jon spent several years honing his craft before entering the home security industry in 1999. Over the next decade, he worked alongside many of the top companies in the field — learning the industry from the inside out, and growing increasingly frustrated with a problem he kept seeing. National companies made it easy to become a customer — and nearly impossible to reach anyone afterward. Contracts, call centers, and no one who actually knew your situation. Jon knew there was a better way, because he’d seen what good service could look like.

In October 2008, Jon and his wife Janet founded Safe Haven Security Inc. as a corporation rooted in Pittsboro, NC. Janet serves as Vice President and is an integral part of the business — this is, at its heart, a family operation committed to the community they call home.

Today, Safe Haven provides residential and commercial alarm systems, indoor and outdoor camera systems, and medical alert solutions across all of North Carolina. Every system is customized. Every client is known by name. And the phone is always answered by someone who cares.
